Katharina Morawek is a trained scenographer and organizational developer. She is managing director at the Center for Arts and Cultural Theory / Zentrum Künste und Kulturtheorie, a network at the interface of University of Zurich and the Zurich University of the Arts, with close ties to the bridge professorship.
She was the artistic director of the Shedhalle Zurich and founded numerous initiatives on the politics of history and democracy. She works with cultural institutions on questions of democratization and multiperspectivist narrations. Together with Martin Krenn, she published «Urban Citizenship. Democratizing democracy» and, together with Lisa Bolyos, «Diktatorpuppe zerstört, Schaden gering. Kunst und Geschichtspolitik im Postnazismus». She is one of the founding members of Institut Neue Schweiz INES, a think & act tank for a postmigrant Switzerland, and was a board member from 2018-2024.
