Panel @ Museum für Gestaltung Zürich: «Dis/playing Museums – Designing the Digital»

DEC 11, 2025 18:30

Location: Museum für Gestaltung, Ausstellungsstrasse 60, 8005 Zürich

Artificial intelligence and digital technologies are changing how we see, experience – and understand things in museums. Moderated by Sophie Grossmann, co-curator of the exhibition Museum of the Future – 17 digitale Experimente, the conversation explores the question of what these technological developments mean for museums, collections and our cultural memory. We look forward to an inspiring exchange about new ways of dealing with digital images, virtual collection objects and imparting knowledge in the museum of the future. Following the discussion, the panel participants will personally guide you through the exhibition and provide insights into their work and their museum visions.

With: Sarah Kenderdine (EPFL Lausanne), Roland Meyer (UZH/ZHdK), Alice Hertzog (University of Zurich) and Paquita Hoeck (University of Zurich).
