Welcome to the website of the DIZH bridge professorship for Digital Cultures and Arts, which is situated at the interface of the University of Zurich (UZH) and the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK). Combining media and visual culture studies, our teaching and research focuses on today’s networked image cultures and their aesthetic, epistemic and political implications. We critically examine digital cultures under the conditions of platform capitalism, analyze the digital transformation of the arts in the face of AI, and explore the critical possibilities of aesthetic practice.
